Arris Bryan Whitehead was born 5-10-1928 in Winston Co, Ms to Talmage and Erma Whitehead went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept 24. Arris was a member of Ridgewood Park UMC. If it was broke he could fix it. In the days before cell phones he was an angel to every stranded motorist. In Lamesa, Arris was a volunteer fire fighter and an active member of Kiwanis Club and a member of the Lamesa Masonic Lodge. Married over 64 years to the love of his life Pat. Father of three loving children. He was a master mechanic sought after by every car dealer in Dallas and Lamesa. In his later years Arris taught general mechanical repair to young students at Stephen F Austin Middle School in Irving where he was honored as Teacher of the year. He was very proud of his years as a teacher.
