Mary Elizabeth Barnes, age 84, a McMinnville, TN resident and Chattanooga native was born February 1, 1935 and passed away February 9, 2019 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.
She was a retired employee of Magness Memorial Library and daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Lillie Rogers Barnes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ann Barnes.
Ms. Barnes is survived by special friends, Rayburn and Martha Holt of Morrison, James, Kerrie, Kelsie and Bree Hayes of McMinnville and Amanda Sain of McMinnville. She is also survived by all her friends at NHC Healthcare.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2019 in Smyrna Cemetery with Trent Key to officiate. There will be no service or visitation at High's. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
