Loading... My first car was a white, 1938 Plymouth 4-Door Sedan which I bought ~1969 for $18 and change. The original deal was for $20, however, I bought lunch and smokes on the way to the South Flagler address.
I remember that the left, front spring was broken so the car rode down the road with a distinct lilt.
After a few weeks driving I came to the conclusion that the carburator needed adjustment (BTW, I have NO mechanical appitude, as a matter of fact, I've just figured-out the principles of the wheel barrow). So I bought a can of "Gunk" so that I could disassemble and clean all of the carburators components and thereby improve the car's performance. Needless to say, I could not re-assemble the carburator ergo I place all of the parts in a "Maxwell House" coffee can and called the junkyard for pickup...
