William (Bill) Hennessee, 83, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at his home with his wife, Pamela, and family by his side. Visitation will be today at Elkins Funeral Home from noon until 1 p.m. A service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sybil Hennessee; sons, Russell and Steve Hennessee; and in-laws, Walter and Lucille Mays

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela Hennessee; daughters, Susan Ciambella and Rhonda Hennessee; sons, Bob Hennessee, Greg Hodges, Vic Hodges (Kelley), and Wally Hodges; brother, Horace Hennessee (Ruby); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special family friends; and his little buddy, Scooter the dog.

Mr. Hennessee was born in Lauderdale County and retired from Ford Motor Company and Chrysler. He had owned a number of successful business’s including Pam’s Pottery, Sportstich, and many others. He, with his wife, raised there children. He was a member of Stoney Point Church of Christ and a great husband and father.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Helen Keller and the ambulance service for their kindness and special friend David Cox for all he has done for the family. The family thanks all those that have sent food and many other acts of kindness.
