Tabitha "Bitha" Hash Gribble (1856-1937) Henry Reed Gribble (1856-1938)

Gribble cousin that sent me the picture tried to scan it to make it better. She scanned one half and then the other. It was originally all one picture.

She told me that Tabitha and Henry divorced in the early 1900s and Henry remarried. Tabitha eventually went to live with the son in Waco where she died. After she died, Henry went to live with the son until he died. The "kids" buried Henry next to Tabitha. The Gribble cousin said that Tabitha would have been most unhappy. Most people do not know about the divorce.

I found a census record that showed Henry living on the "Poor Farm" in Gatesville, TX about 1930±. I guess it was after that and after Tabitha died that he went to Waco to live with the son.

Tabitha was about 16 and Henry was about 17. He looks scared. She looks like a Madonna picture.

A Gribble cousin that died a few years ago gave me this picture. I would hate for it to go in the bonfire when I croak. Maybe you can be the savior!
