Funeral for Ernest E. Kitsmiller, 84, of 2610 H Ave., who died Thursday in a Duncan hospital, following a brief illness, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Becker Memorial Chapel with Loyd Ashenfelter, pastor of Salem Missionary Baptist Church and Marvin T. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Kitsmiller was born Feb. 1, 1899, in Missouri. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He moved to the Sterling and Elgin area as a child and to Lawton in 1947. He had worked for the city of Lawton street department for 20 years. He married Willie M. Cagle in 1924, east of Lawton. She died in 1945. He then married Julia Hennessee April 10, 1948, in Lawton. She died in 1978. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons: George M., Washington, D.C., Ernest A., [3]
- Ernest and Julia purchased their cemetery plots (section 1, lot 56B, spaces 1-2-3-4) in Sunset Memorial Gardens on 1-13-1960. Sunset records reveal that Marie L. Williamson was buried in space 1.
