- Born on Jan.1, 1930 in Valley, Neb., he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force with 20 years of service participating in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, a retired locksmith and owner of Hollins Lock & Key, a life member of VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173, a member of the NRA, a member of the Rock Island Lodge F&AM No. 452, a 32-Degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of Rock Island Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hollins was preceded in death by parents Eldred Edwin and Gladys Irene Hollins.
Survivors include his wife Louise Webb Hollins of Rock Island, stepson, Robert Fisher, PhD of South Padre Island, Texas; stepdaughter and husband, Kathie Lynn and Jeff Farmer of St. Mary's, Ga., sister, Beverly Isle of Hendersonville; step-grandchildren, David Brian Farmer, Christopher Webb Farmer, Jason Brent Farmer, and Jennifer Lynn Farmer, and step-great-grandchildren, Hallie Farmer and Helmesly Farmer. Several other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service was held Tuesday in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Clifton Scott officiated. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory. Military Grave Rites were administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
