COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Smith Herbert Bracey, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home with Norman Parrish and Glen McDoniel officiating. Burial will be in Algood Cemetery.
Mr. Bracey died Sun., Sept. 16, 1984, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.
A native of Indiana, he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Loula Cunningham Bracey. He served as a lieutenant in World War II. Mr. Bracey was self employed as an engineer in the construction of roads and bridges.
His family includes his wife, Mrs. Helen Paris Bracey; two daughters, Mrs. Blair (Linda) Wilson of Nashville and Gail Bracey of Cookeville; a son, Russell E. Bracey of Cookeville; a brother, William Gordon "Bill" Bracey of Athens, GA; and a grandchild.
