  Samuel Givens Evetts JR. fought at the Battle of Bexar where he was wounded by a gun shot to the face. He also fought at the Battle of San Jacinto. He married Mary Phebe Dodson Allen 1 Jan 1839 in Austin Texas. They were the parents of 8 children. Frances A - 23 Sept 1839 - 3 Oct 1860 Susan B - 1840 - 1869 - mar.
