Notes |
- Orlando Bradley Christian, born December 25, 1844, first appears on the 1850 Warren County census living in the household with his father, William Thornton Christian, and mother, Elizabeth Lusk Christian. Also in the home are his seven brothers and sisters, aged 3 to 20. At the time of the census Bradley was 6 years old. In the 1870 census he is shown living in the household of Moses and Pernetta Martin, and is soon to be married to Mary Freeman Martin, widow of William Martin, also living in the household.
"Marriage Records of Warren County, Tennessee; 1852 to 1900" on page 115 show that Mary Martin was married to Bradley Christian on May 4, 1871 by B. P. Jarrett, J. P.
Bradley and Mary Christian are shown on the census records of Warren County in 1880, 1900, and 1910. The 1880 Census shows: Bradley, 36, Mary E., 34, Ernest, 7, Blanchie, 4, Isaac H., 3, and Odella, 1. It also shows in the same household India Martin, 16, and Jessie Martin, age 15. These are 2 of the 3 children Mary had with her first husband, William R. Martin. By the census of 1900 the household also shows another son, Henry age 19, and two additional daughters, Cleo age 16, and Louise age 14. Also shown in 1910 is a daughter, Lona age 22. It is not known if this is the same as Louise shown in 1900. [2]
