      Odis W. Perkey, age 88 of Cave City, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at his home. He was born December 30, 1921 at Cave City, Arkansas to William Robert and Faye Lizzie Eason Perkey. He was a farmer, U.S. Army Veteran having served during World War II and a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Cave City.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, B.F. Perkey, Conyard Perkey, Glenn Perkey, and O.C. Perkey.

      Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Hazel Perkey of the home; one son, Ronnie Perkey of Cave City; one daughter, Maretta Milligan of Cave City; two brothers, J.W. Perkey and Olen Perkey both of Cave City; one sister, Carnell Medlock of Newburn, TN; six grandchildren, Barry Perkey of Evening Shade, Eric Perkey, Randall Perkey, Robby Perkey and Bridget Garland all of Cave City and Brandi Johnson of Strawberry; nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services will begin Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Cave City with Bro. Randall Perkey, Bro. Ron Canard and Bro. Wayne Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery located in Cave City with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.

      Visitation will begin Tuesday, October 26, 2010 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church.

      Pallbearers are James Hoggard, Con Battles, Arbra Perkey, Boue Johnson, Barry Perkey, Eric Perkey, Robby Perkey, and Brian Garland. [4]
