- McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Winfrey Hennessee, age 90, was born August 18, 1928 and died April 28, 2019 at NHC Healthcare Center in McMinnville following an extended illness.
A retired sign painter and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, he was the son of the late George and Mallie Green Hennessee. He was married on June 16, 1950 to Dorothy Christine Smith Hennessee who preceded him in death on September 18, 2016. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Juanita Byars, Edna Taylor and Goldie Taylor.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Dennis Gann of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Lynn (Heather) Gann of McMinnville and Lee Gann of McMinnville; one great-granddaughter, Stella Gann of McMinnville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jorris and Nellie Hennessee of McMinnville and Morris Hennessee of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Tony Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at High's.
