Memorial service for Lelon Ellis wood, 79, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home with the Rev Loyd Ashenfelter, pastor, Salem Missionary Church officiating.
Mr. Wood died Saturday in a Clinton VA hospital.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
He was born Oct. 29, 1914, in Waurika. He moved to Lawton at an early age. He married Lou Ella K. Williamson on August 8, 1937, in Marlow. She died January 31, 1991. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where he was deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include two daughters; Neva Jo Keller, Florida; and Nova D. Menser, Lawton; a brother, Arlie, Midwest City; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was buried on 20 Jul 1994 at Sunset Memorial Park in Lawton, Comanche, Oklahoma, United States. [2]
