Landon C. McWhirter's Stroke Is Fatal
Huntsville Route 2 Resident died at home today at 4:40 A.M.
Landon C. McWhiter, 69, of Route 2 , Huntsville, died this morning at 4:40 o'clock at home, following a stroke of paralysis.
He had been a farmer in the community several years.
Funeral services will be held at State Line church. Other arrangements will be announced by Laughlin-Service funeral home.
Surviving are the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Irene Walling, Mrs. Hoyett Harris, Huntsville. Mrs. Lula Mae Bostick, Mrs. Harrison Polk of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. George Jackson of New Market, and Miss Louise McWhirter, at home ; three sons, Hugh and I.B. McWhirter, at home, and Robert Clyde McWhirter of Akron; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Greer, Nashville, three brothers, Clarence McWhirter of Cookville, Tenn. Charles McWhirter of Walling, Tenn. and Felix McWhirter,Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs.Sarah Johnson of Little Rock; and four grandchildren. [2]
