Funeral or John William Hennessee, 89, Lawton, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Westside Church of god with the Rev Delbert Hughes, pastor, officiating, and the Rev Fred Andrews, retired minister, assisting.
Mr. Hennessee died Friday in a local hospital.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
He was born January 10, 1910, in Lawton to Audley C. and Sarah C. Keller Hennessee. He grew up in Vickery, Texas, and completed his education in 1923. He married Ruth J. Harrison on Sept. 7, 1937, in Lawton. He was employed as a farmer and he built FHA homes for several years. He was also employed as a welder in the ship years in California during World War II. He was the maintenance supervisor at Fairmont Creamery for many years. He was then employed as Security Bank as the maintenance supervisor until his retirement in 297. He was also a cement finisher. He was a member of 9th & Lee church of God.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons: Charles E. Hennessee, and Billy Hennessee and his wife, Sheri, all of Lawton; and John Paul Hennessee and his wife, Jeanie, Elgin; two daughters: Pamela Hennessee, Lawton; and Dana and her husband, Ernie Bagley, Snyder; a brother, James Lawrence Hennessee, Lawton; five grandsons: Charles Hennessee J., John Paul Hennessee Jr; Nolan Dale Hennessee II; Shelby Hennessee; and Joshua Bagley; ten granddaughters: Tracey Hills, Paul Diehl, Cindy Adamson, Angela Hennessee Gonzalez, Amy Entler, Tamara Cooper, Andrea Entler, Ashley Hodges, Rachel Hennessee, and Lindsey Bagley; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Nolan Dale Hennessee on Dec. 14, 1987, a granddaughter, Charlene Hennessee Smith on March 12, 1984, five brothers and six sisters. [3]
