Hazel Ruth Dodson Hennessee, 63, of Rock Island, passed away on October 18, 2006 after an extended illness. She was a factory worker at Sunbeam-Oster Corporation and member of the Cumberland Free Will Baptist Church.
Hennessee was born in Sequatchie County, Tennessee, on July 13, 1943, to George and Vina Yates Dodson.
Survivors include her father, George Dodson of Rock Island; one son, Terry Hennessee of Rock Island; one grandson, Aaron Cody Hennessee of Rock Island; one granddaughter, Amanda Faye Reed of Rock Island; three sisters, June and Vernon Mears of Rocky River Community; Thelma and Jerry Boyd of Spencer and Phyllis Hayes of Tullahoma; brother, George “Cotton” Dodson of Rocky River Community and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cherful Hennessee; mother, Vina Yates Dodson and brother, Leonard Dodson.
Visitation will be held in High’s Chapel Thursday, October 19, 2006, from 1 – 9 p.m. and Friday, October 20, 2006, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Service will be held in High’s Chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday, with burial in the Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County. Dennis Deweese will officiate. [2, 3]
