HARRY CHARLES SWINDELL, 74, of Baldwin, died Wednesday, July 12, 1989 at Barrett Convalescent Home in Commerce.

Born in Habersham County on July 19, 1914, he was a son of the late Henry Charles Swindell and Lucile Staight Swindell. He was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Swindell.

He was a member of Cornelia First Presbyterian Church and was a past member of Cornelia Lodge # 92, F & A.M. He was a graduate of Piedmont College and the University of Georgia School of Pharmacy. Prior to retirement, he was owner of Swindell's Pharmacy in Cornelia.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Eleanor Little Swindell of Baldwin; daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Tarr of Athens; sons, Charles Swindell of Marietta, Leland Swindell of Carnesville, David Swindell of Portland, Oregon, Richard Swindell and Jerry Swindell of Baldwin, and Bobby Swindell of Atlanta; sister, Marilla Covington of Bowman, GA; 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services at 3 p.m. Friday, July 14, 1989, Cornelia First Presbyterian Church with Rev. James B. Reaves and Rev. Richard Scoggins officiating. Burial in Cross Roads Bapt. Church Cemetery in Carnesville.
