- Harold Ray Money, 81, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2006, at the Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on December 22, 1924, in Moody, Texas, a son of Thomas Pearson and Ruth Chapman Money. Harold served in the Navy Seabees 69th Battalion during World War II, after which he attended the University of Texas - Austin, where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1951. He worked at General Dynamics (Lockheed) in Fort Worth, Texas, for 10 years. Harold married his sweetheart, Helen May, on June 11, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas. In November of 1961, he moved his family to Brigham City, where he worked for Thiokol as an engineer until his retirement in January of 1990.
Harold was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed traveling and building/flying radio- controlled airplanes, but most of all he loved being with his family especially helping them with home improvement projects. Harold is survived by his wife Helen of Brigham City and three sons: Bill (Marshann) Money of Willard; Jim (Debbie) Money of Kennewick, Washington; Dale (Carla) Money of Farmington. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Josh, Joel, Caden, Brady, Brandt, Brock (Katie), Dane, and Brynn.
The family would like to thank Dr. John Markeson, the staff of Brigham City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Drs. Bowen, Sharma, and Kushner at the Huntsman Cancer Center for their compassionate service and love toward Harold and his family.
In lieu of flowers the family would like you to donate to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, Skin Cancer Research, Bowen/Sharma, 500 Huntsman Way, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108, where Harold had multiple skin cancer surgeries.
Harold's family would like to invite friends for a casual greeting on Saturday, October 21, 2006, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Church of Christ, 207 South 600 West, Brigham City, Utah. Entombment will be in the Brigham City Columbarium at the cemetery. [2]
