Doris Ledford Hennessee, 66, of Chattanooga, loving wife and mother, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in a local hospital after a short, but valiant, fight with cancer.
A long-time resident of Chattanooga, she was a former employee of Cutter Laboratory and was retired from Wal-Mart.
Mrs. Hennessee is survived by her husband, Paul Hennessee; three sons and a daughter, Michael Hennessee of Atlanta, Larry Hennessee of Chickamauga, Ga., Barry Hennessee of Chattanooga, and Teresa Hennessee of Marietta, Ga.; mother, Alma Ledford of Chattanooga; sister, Barbara Boerema of Douglasville, Ga.; two brothers, Virlyn Ledford and Donald Ledford, both of Delano, Tenn.; six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes, with Pastor David Cross officiating.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery with Raymond Hennessee, Todd Bidon, Wayne Hennessee, Terrell Hennessee, Ricky Merriman and Travis Watson serving as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Clay and Carson Hennessee.
The family will receive friends 2-8 p.m. Monday at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes.
