- Dewey Allen, 53, of 704 McKinley St., died at Huntsville Hospital yesterday after a brief illness.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nell Allen; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Franklin, Mrs. Effie Powell, Huntsville, and Mrs. Rebecca Brewer, Talladega; three brothers, Huey and Norman Allen, Huntsville, and Charlie Allen, Talladega.
The body will be at Spry Funeral Home until time for funeral.
Funeral Arrangements will be announced.

- Dewey Allen, 53, 704 McKinley Ave., died Friday at his residence.
A funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Jack Carroll and Rev. James O. Dorriety officiating.
Burial will be in State Line Cemetery.
Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Nell Allen; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Franklin, Mrs. Effie Powell, both of Huntsville, and Mrs. Rebecca Brewer of Talladega, Ala.; three brothers, Hewey Allen and Norman Allen, both of Huntsville, and Charlie Allen of Talladega.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Carroll, Allen Slenson, Herman McKenzie, Malcolm Smith, Floyd Ricketts and Wayne Conner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Norton E. Cowart, Ernest Drake, Gordon Ricketts, Aleck Wilensky, Earl Bowers and Richard Pinion.
The body is at the funeral home.
