- Carl Douglas Byars, 82, of Honeycomb passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Mr. Byars was preceded in death by his wife Velma Marsh Byars and daughter Sandra Kay Byars. Mr. Byars was a native of Madison County, was retired from Chrysler. He was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles, a Mason and a Shriner.
He is survived by his son Carl Gwin Byars and wife Judy, a brother Randall Byars, four grandchildren Shane Byars, Sean Byars, Kevin Guffey and Chris Byrom and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, September 27, 2013 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 12:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home with Tommy Rosenblum officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery. [2]
