- LYONS - Mrs. Batha Sherrill, 66, Phoenix, Ariz, former Lyons resident, died Saturday morning at the Sterling Community Hospital after suffering a heart attack six days ago.
Born Oct. 5, 1901, at Smithville, Tenn., she was married to Paul Swenson July 26, 1920, at Lyons.
He died in December of 1944.
She married T. W. Sherill May 6, 1954.
She left Lyons to move to Parsons in 1954.
She lived in Phoenix for four years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Phoenix.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Helen Burgess, RFD Sterling; Mrs. Doris Davis, Phoenix; Mrs. Marguerite Reece, Lyons; sons. Everett Swenson, Lyons; Arthur Swenson, Tioga, N.D.; adopted son, Kenneth Sherill, U.S. Navy) sister, Mrs. Lavern Selby, Lyons; brother, Ellis Ingim, Wichita; step-mother, Mrs. Cora Ingrim, Newton: step-sister, Mrs. Jerry Morgan, California; Mrs. Allen Hensley, Newton; step-brother, William Ingrim, RFD 3, Hutchinson.
