- Alex Zion (Bud) Holder, 74, farmer of Warren county near Centertown, died in St. Thomas hospital Nashville Sunday night. He had been ill for the part of two months and succumbed after a major operation.
Mr. Holder was born in Warren county November 17, 1869. He had represented the eleventh civil district in the Warren county court for the past 36 years.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mattie Martin Holder; two sons, Alex M. Holder, of Warren county, and Flaval Holder with the U. S. Army overseas; three daughters, Mrs. Alton Vinson, of Warren county; Mrs. Hoyte Blanks, of Woodbury, and Mrs. Joe Medley, of Nashville; and three foster children, Frank and Dewey Holder and Mrs. Ernest Wilson, all of Phoenix, Arizon.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Blues Hill Church, conducted by Elder J. D. Jones, minister of the Church of Christ.
