Notes |
- "Warren County,Tennessee Will Books 1-3 (1827-1858)", Abstracted and Compiled by Betty Moore Majors, p. 114;
"pg. 45 29 May 1850. Will of Delila Burlison. First, I give my spirit to God who gave it, and my body to be decently "entured in the toom".
I give my daughter Volly Chastain all I possess and the $100.00 that I am to have of John M. Randolph provided he should gain suit at law for some black servants that belong to my father's estate in the Court of Chancery in McMinnville.
I appoint Volly Chastain and John M. Randolph as executors of this will.
Witnesses James Collier and John Cardwell.
Proved 7 Oct 1850."
Note: Find it curious that she does not recognize or bequeath any of her other children...DAH
