Notes |
- According to the information I have - Tobitha Cantrell, daughter of Benjamin Cantrell, born Sep. 20, 1825, died Oct. 11, 1884, Indian Creek area of DeKalb Co. TN. Tobitha married Jesse W. Taylor, son of Henry Taylor and Beady c. 1843.
Jesse W. Taylor was in the Mexican War in 1847, where he died of disease.
Tobitha had nine children, Elias L, b. 1844, Hannah, b. 1846, Jesse, b. 1848, Mary Frances, b. Feb. 15, 1852, MO,died May, 1945, John A., b. Apr. 28, 1854 DeKalb Co. TN, Charles A., b. 1858, Benjamin F. b. Apr. 1860 & James Lavander, b. 1864. I also show a Mary Frances, b. Nov. 1856, who married Dempsey W Taylor, who was buried in Claud Walkern Cem. #14, DeKalb Co. Dempsey was the son of John B and Drucilla Turner Taylor.
John B was a son of Joseph and Lucretia Terrell Taylor. I believe Tobitha and Jesse W were blood relatives. [2]
