      Martha,awhile back I was researching Helton's in White County because my ancestory includes Edward Helton married to Elizabeth Goodson of White Co., TN. I found a record in the White Co. Mortality schedule of 1850 for Edward Helton Civil Districts 5-6-8: Helton, Edward, 90, Born VA. died August 1849 of old age. Hope this helps you some.
