- December 15th, 2020:
We lost Cousin Christine this afternoon over her battle with brain cancer.
What a loss she is.
She was accomplished, educated, creative, thoughtful, nurturing and did everything with a smile.
Everytime I visited with her and Mike, both made me feel so welcomed and a part of their family...DAH

- Like all of Aunt Pearl's girls, Christine is lovely and talented. She and her husband, Michael, have built their own homes with perfect craftmanship and always located in the prettiest area on the Rocky River...

- October 30, 2015:
Also we found something today. We went to the Swindell Cemetary. There are 2 graves that we could see. Stones are hard to read but one is S E Swindell born February 12, 1827 died March 1888. The other one is S A Swindell born Sept 28, 1858 died ?? unreadable on my phone [Editor's Note: I searched the 1850 & 1860 White County censuses and could not locate either of these two persons. It was even more difficult given the fact that initials only were used. Were these SWINDELL males or spouses...]. It is out in a field across the road from Darwin Gooch's house. We didn't walk up to the 'unknown cemetery'. We saw it out in a field. It was well kept. We can go there when you come. We found where the mill was. Nothing left but we can show you the place. Just a few years ago someone hauled the millstone out. Verble Roberts didn't know where any Swindells had lived. We'll show you all that we found next week.
