Notes |
- There is tradition in the family that John J. was an artist and that he left the family in Tennessee and went to California to paint. He evidently returned to Tennessee as it is also tradition that he died in 1858 and we know from his wife's stone that he is buried at the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Enumerated in his household during the 1850 Warren census, page 93;
'James BOREN 19 Labourer Tenn.'
