    • Mrs. Allen Dies At 89 -- Mrs. Mary Susan Allen of Opelika Rt. 2 died Wednesday in the Opelika Nursing Home. She was 89. A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Allen had resided in Lee County 40 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

      Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Corbin Cope and Mrs. Clifford Dukes of Phenix City and Mrs. Donna Moon of Columbus; two sons, Fred of Opelika and Elmer Allen of Anchorage, Alaska, and several grandchildren.

      Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 4 p.m. from Pierce Chapel Church with Rev. C. D. Monday officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

      Frederick's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
