On 1 March 1828, the heirs of John Ferrell deeded land on Hurricane Creek in DeKalb County, Tenn. to Charles "Ferrill". All the heirs (children)of John signed or were named. That is likely the original source for the names of John's children. -- Ken Haas

I am researching a Jane Ferrell, who was born in Tenn, we are assuming Warren county, since her father Charles Ferrell was born there. Mother's name was Isabelle.(1792-1860) We believe Jane was born approx. 1826. She married a Young M. Lee also born in Tenn. ( do not know county) Jane's father was a Methodist minister, and Jane had at least 11 brothers and sisters. Jane and Young M. Lee were married approx. 1840-1845 in Dekalb county, and they had four children born in Tenn. Finnis, Amanda Jane, Mary Jane, Sarah Elizabeth. We found Jane and Young M. Lee on the 1850 Arkansas cenus in Pope County. We are desperate in trying to find Young M. Lee parents. All we know is that he was born in Tenn. between 1815-1817. We also believe that Charles died in DeKalb county abt 1865. He was born 1799 Warren county. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
