Notes |
- I have Moses T. Brooks born abt 1794 in VA ??
Known sons are James M. and Joseph Franklin. Joseph is my direct line. A daughter is Octas or Octao, hard to read on the census. They lived in TN near Nashville and then moved on to TX.
Do our lines fit together in the big puzzle?
Waiting to hear.

- Did Moses T. Brooks who died in Davidson co.,Nashville, TN.
Moses married Nancy Tate in Wilson co.,TN. 1813
John T. Books son of Moses and Nancy died 1850 of Typhoid Fever leaving a wife Thursey Cowgill Brooks.John and Thursey married in Davidson co. 1836. Their daughter Octavia Brooks married John M. Clements. They all lived and died in Davidson co.,TN.
Moses remarried a Rebecca? They had one Child
Did Moses leave a will or a Bible? I need to connect Moses and Nancy to their son John T. Brooks
I found where Moses T. Brooks Sr.wife Rebecca was granted widows support by the court July 1861 inventory of estate shows money paid commissioners for division of land and negroes.
This was posted in the The BROOKS FAMILY BULLETIN April 1973 VOL.11 NO 2
I would love to know if his grandchildren received anything
The post was made by Methel Brooks Lynch. Gainesville, TX
I would appreciate any help on the connections
