Obediah N.and Emeline M. Lonon, were still alive as of June 16, 1900, living in North Cove,N.C. They had no children with them at that time. They had been married 52 years and reported that they had
a total of 10 children; and that 7 children were living. Ida Lovin, was a servant in their household.
The Lonon name is a derivative of London. Obediah is listed in the 1870 Census in North Cove Township, of McDowell County,N.C. under the name Obediah London; but in 1880 he is back Alice Jordon was the daughter of T.J. Jordon.
