  • Notes 
    • He was the son of Isaac & Talitha (Cloud) Cantrell. He grew to adulthood in a part of Orange County that became Guilford County in 1770 and then Rockingham in 1785. He bought land in Rockingham in 1786.

      He married Milly M. Lillard about 1789 and they were listed on the 1790 Census, 1 male over 16, 2 males under 16, 1 female over 16, Salisbury Dist., Rockingham Co., NC

      He moved, in about 1791 to the 96th Dist. of South Carolina. He bought 200 acres of land that lay along Little Buck Creek in Spartanburg County. They lived here for the next 30 years.

      Charles had served in the Revolutionary War and drew land in the Cherokee Lottery of Georgia. He had migrated there in about 1831 and purchased land in Habersham County.

      He prepared his Will 17 Oct 1835 and had died by 26 Oct of the same year. [3]
