According to an article from the Leicester Archaeological and Historical society , John Belgrave, died on 30 May 1512. The inquisition post mortem on him was taken on 26th At his death he was seised of the manor of Belgrave, and the manors of Blaby and Countesthorpe. Also of lands in Leicester, Syston, Houghton, Thurmaston and Long Whatton.
He made his last will, appointing Sir Henry Willoughby, kt., Richard Sacheverell, Ralph Swillington, esquires, William Saunders and Robert Clerke as overseers and gave directions for portions for his two sisters, Ann and Katherine Belgrave . His heir was his son George Belgrave who was 2 years and more (though the author says this figure is indistinct) )[2]
