Evelyn Roberts Goodson, 73, of Sparta, passed away Dec. 14, 2006, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Goodson was born Oct. 19, 1933, in White County, to Norman Eldridge Roberts and Minnie Silcox Roberts.
She had been a shirt factory worker.
Goodson was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earnest Goodson, and her parents.
Survivors include four daughters, Sadie and husband L.K. Young, of Sparta, Donna and husband Bobby Joe Kirby, of Sparta, Debbie and husband William Earnest Miller, of Sparta ,and Dianne and husband Paul Miller, of Sparta; one son, Robert Darrell Goodson Sr. and wife Cathryn Goodson, of Sparta; one brother, Carl Roberts, of Sparta; three sisters, Ola Mae Dial, Dora Weaver and Gail Blanton Dial, all of Sparta; 17 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements:
Services were 2 p.m., Dec. 16, 2006, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Cemetery. Sister Thelma Roby officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
