HERNDON - Mrs. Collie Lance Herndon, 75, died at her home in the eleventh district of Warren county at 9:20 o'clock Wednesday morning of last week. Funeral services were conducted from the Bates Hill Cumberland Presbyterian church near Centertown by John W. High Friday afternoon. Burial was in the Oak Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Herndon , was born in Warren county December 18, 1865. She was a daughter of Tillman and Annie "Davenport" Lance. She was married to John Herndon, October 12, 1884, who died several years ago. She had been a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church since 1912.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Williamson of McMinnville, a brother Wilford Lance, Powder, Texas, four grandchildren, and fpur great-grandchildren.
Pallbears were: Benjamin Bates, Albert Lance, Tip Jackson, Will Mitchell, Scott Lance and George Lance. Arrangements by High Funeral company.
