Born Dec. 20, 1920, at Etowah, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Maudie Dunyhue Chambers; and husband, Forrest Adkins. Survivors include her children, Betty Foreman of Matthews, N.C., Wayne Adkins of Union Mills, N.C., Barbara Armstrong and Charles Adkins, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; brothers, Joe Chambers of Hartford, Mich., and James Chambers of Etowah; and 17 grandchildren. Services were held in the Wilson's Osceola Funeral Home with burial in Garden Point Cemetery at Etowah. Jonesboro Sun obits.
