    • PVT Frederick Ray is not the son of Nathaniel Wray Sr and Nancy Mournig Wray of Brunswick Co,VA-that Frederick Wray was born in 1795, nearly 40 years later and after the Revolutionary War. Parentage unknown at this time.

      Married Nancy Harwell 26 Mar 1787 in Brunswick Co,VA Colony.

      Served in Virginia State Troops for an 8 mos stretch then an additional 3 mos.

      After the war he moved his family to Iredell Co,NC; then to Hancock Co,GA, then to Jasper Co,Ga and on to Tuscaloosa Co,AL by 1819.
