- ELEANOR LITTLE SWINDELL, 79, of Baldwin, GA died Saturday, March 18, 1995 at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born in Franklin County, GA on July 2, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Robert Leland Little and Emma Elizabeth Ayers Little.
She was the widow of Harry Charles Swindell and mother of the late Robert Staight Swindell and Timothy Swindell.
She was a member of Cornelia Presbyterian Church and Tomochichi Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. She was retired from the Habersham County School System and was Librarian at Baldwin Elementary School for 16 years. She was a member of Habersham County Retired Teachers Assn and was a member of Beta Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa International Teachers Sorority.
Survivors include her daughter, Eleanor Tarr of Athens; sons, Charles Swindell of Winder, Leland Swindell of Carnesville and Richard Swindell, David Swindell and Jerry Swindell, all of Baldwin; sisters, Martha Little and Emelyn Adair of Carnesville; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 1995 at Cornelia First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kirk Nesbitt, Rev. Richard Scoggins and Rev. Jan Blissitt officiating. Burial in Cross Roads Bapt. Church Cemetery in Carnesville.
