  • Notes
    • She was the daughter of Charles and Frances Chitwood of Heard County, Georgia.

She married to Epham Morrow about 1845 in Randolph County, Alabama, he was the son of James Morrow Jr. and Catherine Shoemaker

Caroline weaved clothes for her family. It was said that Caroline and her daughters could weave some of the most beautiful cloth around. This was a Morrow family tradition that was said to have started long before they came to America.

It was said Epham made a pact or vow with a friend "Thomas Ragan", who served with him in the war. And they said if either man died, or was killed that the other man would take care of the other man's family. Epham took Thomas' wife "Sarah" in, but it wasn't until after 1890, when she moved in. When this happened, Caroline moved out, she lived with her son Andrew until her death in 1910. According to family members Andrew Jackson Morrow who was with his mother when she died said that on the day she died in her bed she smoked a corn pipe and chewed tobacco.

She is buried between her husband Epham Morrow and her son James Lindsey Morrow. [2]
