- William Fairfax (d. 1588) = Anne Baker. William settled at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. He married Anne in 1542. The genealogical manuscript of Matthias Candler (1604-1663), preserved in Harleian Manuscript 6071 (p. 502/f. 249v) in the British Library proves that this William was the son of Sir Thomas and that William’s son was: [2]
- William was Nicholas's twin. He settled at Bury St. Edmunds and is buried in Walsingham .[2] William is an ancestor of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge 's paternal ancestors [3]
