Mr. Swindell was born on April 21, 1918, in Wolfe City to Archie S. and Elvia D. Horton Swindell. He was married to Margaret Elizabeth Barker. He was a retired paint contractor and a veteran of World War ll. He was also a member of the Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Betty Darlene Henry of Mesquite and Lana Jean Allard of Wylie; a brother, Austin Swindell of Dallas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is interred at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, Hunt County, Texas |

Wolfe City-Archie Moman Swindell died Friday at his home in Quinlan. He was 70.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with the Rev. D.J. Bell officiating.
