Per Militia Roster of March 1756 Timothy Swindle was a foot soldier in the Clever Militia for seven days. ("Virginia Colonial Soldiers" , p. 162)
On 12/06/1816 Timothy sold 170 acres of land to Hannah Swindle foe $400. This land was part of a tract of land where George Swindle lived located in Laurens Co., SC. on the Saluda River. It was assigned to Timothy Swindle as a part as a legatee of the state. Following the transaction was an affavit stating that Ruth Swindle was the wife of Timothy and she relinquished her claim of Dower.
