- McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Sue Walker Moore, age 75, was born December 12, 1937 and died May 2, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.
A sitter and member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Nellie Ray Walker. She was a member of the Eastern Star and The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She was married to Walter Preston Moore, Jr. who preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Walter Shannon Moore and brother, Wilburn Walker.
Mrs. Moore is survived by a son, Michael Moore of McMinnville; daughter, Candy Moore Hale of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Krista Moore, Lauren Moore, Candace Moore, Preston Moore, Brittany (Travis) Bates, Bethany Hale and Ashley (Justin) Green all of McMinnville; four great-grandchildren, Jena Grissom, Bentley Bates, Breelee Bates and Jusley Green; sister, Wilma Ruth Walker Crowley of Detroit, MI and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 3013 in High's Chapel with Jeff Page officiating. Burial will follow in the New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County, TN. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Monday at High's. [2]
