Harvel Hales Dad Was Lawson Hale. Harvels Mothers Name Was Maggie Lee George From Spencer, Tn. Maggie Married A McCormick And Had 2 Children By Him: Richard & Corbin. She Died Around 1993 or 94. She Is Buried @ Crane Hill Cemt.
Harvel Was Born June 24, 1929, In Spencer Tn Or Warren Co. His Birth Cert. Says Unknown Name, I Think It Says (Boy George) On It. Harvel Was Born Out Of Wedlock. Lawson Married Ruby Davis Apr. 3, 1925 In Warren Co Tn.(No Children With Ruby). Lawson Hales Fathers Name Was Jess Hale. Harvel Said, That His Family Came From A Place Called Haletown In Chattanooga Tn. They Were 18 to 22 Children From That Clan. The Family Moved To Columbia Tn & Nashville Tn.
There Was A Station Yrs. Ago in Nashville Built & Named After His Family,Called Hales Station. He Also Said, That there were Many Teachers in the family.

HALE, Harvel - McMinnville resident and Van Buren County, TN native Harvel Hale, age 80, was born June 24, 1929 and died April 13, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. The retired owner of H&H Plumbing and Electric, United States Army veteran and member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Lawson and Maggie McCormick Hale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, James Ronald Hale. He was married to Frances Hennessee Hale of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Carl Davis and Liz and Ricky Reed both of McMinnville and Kathy and Mark King of Rock Island, TN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Arlene Hale and Sammy Hale both of McMinnville and Mike and Brooke Hale of Rock Island, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, Corbin McCormick and R.T. McCormick both of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 in High's Chapel with James Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's.
