    • McMinnville resident and Warren County native Lannie Clemons, 77, was born Oct. 5, 1929 and died July 27 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

      A retired test driver for the Department of Defense, a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Westwood Church of Christ, he was the son of Nettie Hobbs Clemons of McMinnville and the late Thomas Lee Clemons.

      He was married March 30, 1994 to Mertie Swindell Pistole Clemons of McMinnville. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Lois Kimbrough of Starkville, Miss.; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Marcy and Chris Donaldson of Birmingham, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Talia and Phoenix Donaldson, both of Birmingham, Ala.; stepdaughter and step-son-in-law, Scarlett and Phillip Stout of McMinnville; stepsons and step-daughter-in-law, Larry and Tere Pistole of Stephens Church, Va., and Neal Pistole of Lebanon; nine step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, J.C. Clemons, and Leonard and Avie Clemons, both of McMinnville; three nieces and their husbands, Linda and Ronnie Hamilton, Stephanie and David McColloch, and Sonia and Jason Vandagriff, all of McMinnville, and one nephew and his wife, Phillip and Carolyn Clemons of McMinnville.

      Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in High's Chapel with Coy Hathcock officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service today at High's.

      High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
