- Mr. Higginbotham Dies Thursday; Rites Saturday
William Henry Higginbotham, 83 year-old retired Warren county farmer, died at the home of a son, Clarence Higginbotham, in West Riverside Thursday evenibg at 10:30 o'clock.
He had been ill four months and had been blind for the past twenty years.
Funeral rites were held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Shellsford Baptist Church. Rev. John S. Trent, the minister, officiated and burial was in Shellsford cemetery.
Mr. Higginbotham was born in Warren County November 11, 1808. He was a son of Mr. & Mrs. Jonathan Higgginbotham and he married to Miss Elizabeth Bush, who preceded him in death. [Editor's Note: The preceding line is incorrect]
Mr. Higginbotham was a member of the Baptist Church.
In addition to his son, with whom he made his home, Mr. Higginbotham is survived by another son, Walter Higginbotham, McMinnville; two daughters, Mrs. Charles W. Conlin, McMinnville, and Mrs. R.J. Seals, Ft. Worth, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Rowan, Nashville, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
