Jeremiah's children as listed in the Harbour/Witt newsletter of
Spring/Summer of 1987, Page 35, by Carolyn Weekley.
"From the White Co., TN Court Minutes Book 20, p 245: This day Joab Hill
was appointed guardian to Dicey Witt, Hannah Witt, and Sarah Witt, minor
heirs of Jeremiah T. Witt, who being present in court together with
Cr--s A. Taylor as his security=====into hand in the final sum of two
hundred dollars conditions as the law directs."
"I can now list Jeremiah T. Witt's children this way:
Dicey (probably Candice) b 29-4-1835
Hannah b ca 1836
Sarah b. ca 1839
Female (died in infancy according to
family tradition)."
It looks like the Dicey above was named after her grandmother Dicey
Holland.
I have found nothing further on Tabitha, the apparent wife of Jeremiah.
