"Granny" Grace Hobbs, 87, of Chattanooga, Tn. passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2011.Granny Grace was a longtime Chattanooga area resident.
She had worked for DuPont Corporation, Alexian and Northpark Eye Center.
Grace was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and was an accomplished seamstress, gardener and cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. G. Hobbs Jr.; a son, Scott Hobbs; and seven siblings.
Grace is survived by her children, Sherry Dahrling, and Michael Hobbs and wife, Cherie; six grandchildren, Candy Lusk, Chip Lusk and wife, Joy, Scotty Hobbs and wife, Kelly, Stephanie Cagle, Joseph Hobbs and Katie Holtcamp and husband, Garth; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the North Chapel.
Services for Granny Grace will follow at 3 p.m. on Sunday with Chaplain C.C. Veazey officiating.
Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. [4]
