- After further research, it has been found that there was no other wife for Levander P. John GRISSOM.
The two children listed are the children of James Buckner GRISSOM and Maude May JOHNSON, They had both died and James' parents were raising them.

On the 1900 Census he is married to his last wife Margaret Mae 'Maggie' CRAIN, and there are two children listed that are not hers.

Maggie and John were married 23 Feb 1897 in Van Buren Co., so these first two children have to be from different marriage.
